Niluka Ekanayake is the 9th and current governor of the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka, in office since 12 April 2018.[1] Ekanayake was an astrologer, before being appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena on 17 March 2016 as the 10th Governor of the Central Province.[2][3][4]
She is the first transgender woman to hold the post of governor in a Sri Lankan Province.[5]
