Nigeria–Uruguay relations are the relations between Nigeria and Uruguay. Nigeria has an embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the ambassador is accredited to Uruguay.[1] Uruguay has an embassy in Pretoria, South Africa,[2] the ambassador being concurrent to Nigeria and an honorary consulate in Lagos.[3]
Trade between both countries is significant,[4] with Uruguay buying petroleum and selling fish, cereals, dairy products and other commodities to Nigeria.[5] There is a Uruguayan-African Chamber of Commerce, covering trade between Uruguay and different African countries.[6]
Both countries are members of the Group of 77.[7]
