Nicolas Diguiny (born May 31, 1988 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye) is a French professional footballer who plays for Greek club Aris as a forward or an attacking midfielder.

Career

In summer 2014, Diguiny a former player of Vannes Olympique Club will continue his career in Greek Super League playing for Panthrakikos. Nicolas Diguiny, arrived in Vannes in 2005 and played for the club for 8 consecutive seasons from the youth team through the first team. In January 2013, his name mentioned by stopping a penalty from Ligue 2 club Metz striker Yeni Ngbakoto, in the second half, helping his club to escape with an away 1-1 draw. Two weeks later, he scored a magnificent quadrupled in a 5-0 win against US Quevilly for CFA League. It was he who had sent the Vannes in CFA League in a victorious 1-0 win against Poiré-sur-Vie.

Greece

Eventually, by signing with Panthrakikos will play with former French players like Ben Nabouhane (a former Vannes player and top scorer in the Greek Super League) and ex- Monaco and Argentinian international Javier Saviola.[1] On June 9, 2016 Atromitos announced the addition of Nicolas Diguiny to its roster for the next two years. The French forward combines speed with the ability to help in different positions. The 28-year old player after his signing said: “I am very happy for this transfer. Atromitos is a very important step in my career. I am now member of a team with quality that stands out in the Greek Superleague. It is a club that gives guarantees to every player.I would like to thank Atromitos’ people for their trust and promise them that I will do my best in order to help the club achieve its goals”.[2] On 30 April 2017, in the last matchday of the 2016-17 season he scored a brace in a 4-1 home win against Platanias. He has been in excellent form the next season helping Atromitos to be placed in the 4th position of the League by scoring crucial goals throughout the campaign. On 22 April 2018, Diguiny in his 100th appearance in Greece, scored three goals in a 4-1 home win game against Platanias to see them occupied the best position in its club's history in Superleague. [3] On 25 June 2018, experienced French attacking midfielder Nicolas Diguiny, who was recently released from Atromitos, will sign two-season contract with newly promoted Aris. The 30-year-old player made some solid performances with Austrian manager Damir Canadi's team during 2017-18 season and finished it with 10 goals and 7 assists in the domestic competitions, but his contract was not extended. On 27 June 2018, Aris officially announced the signing of Diguiny on a two-year contract. [5] In his debut, a 3-0 away win against Lamia, he scored with a beautiful header, receiving the MVP award as well. [6] On 2 September 2018, he sealed a difficult 2-0 home win against AEL. [7]

Personal life

Born in France, Diguiny is of Ivorian descent.[8]
