Sir Nicolas Byron KB (1416–1503) was an English nobleman, politician, and knight.

Life

Byron was the younger son of Sir John Byron (died 1450) and Margery Booth. He was created a Knight of the Bath by Arthur, Prince of Wales on the occasion of Prince Arthur's marriage on 14 November 1501.[1]

Family

Sir Nicholas Byron married Joan Bushler, a daughter of Sir John Bushler[2][3] of Haugham, Lincolnshire and Elizabeth Berkeley. He was the father of Sir John Byron (died 1567). Joan survived her husband and married Sir Gervase Clifton of Clifton, Nottingham.[4]
