New Vision Display (Shenzhen) Co, Ltd. (NVD)[1] is a display technology company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China that develops and manufactures custom display and touch screen modules for products in the automotive, medical, industrial, and consumer electronics industries. Incorporated in November, 2012 to acquire the assets of Multek Display US, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Flextronics International, Inc.), NVD operates manufacturing facilities in Shenzhen and Hunan, China.

NVD's technology includes passive matrix and active matrix liquid crystal and OLED displays, projected capacitive touch sensors, cover lenses, integrated display and touch modules, and strengthened glass screen protectors. NVD is certified as compliant with the International Quality Management System standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for general quality management and IATF 16949 for specific automotive industry quality management standards.

NVD currently has over 3,000 employees worldwide with two factory locations in Shenzhen and Hunan, China. The NVD sales and technical support teams are located across the United States, Europe, and China.

History

NVD’s history starts as early as 1993 when the original factory (company name Vikay) was built in Shenzhen, China. During that time, the company sold its first TN, STN and FSTN displays and display-centric electronics assemblies in 1993, 1995, 1996 and 1998, respectively.

In 1999, Vikay sold its Shenzhen factory to International Display Works (IDW). IDW opened a second Shenzhen factory in 2000. The company expanded to also sell CSTN displays and TFT modules starting in 2005 and 2006.

In 2006, IDW was purchased by Flextronics and its name was changed to Vistapoint Technologies. Flextronics reorganized Vistapoint Technologies in 2009 and renamed it Multek Display and Touch. Multek sold its first film based touchscreens in 2009.

In 2012, New Vision Display purchased the entire Multek operation from Flextronics. The original Shenzhen factory from Vikay and the second factory built by IDW are the existing factories (north and south campuses) of New Vision Display.

In 2016, New Vision Display acquired Florida-based OSD Displays – a provider of custom OLED, TFT and STN displays.

As of August 8, 2017, New Vision Display (SZ) Co., Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of Tianjin Jing Wei Electric Wire Co., Ltd.
