Never Turn Your Back on a Friend is Budgie's third album, released in June 1973. A remastered version was released in late 2004.
The album includes "Breadfan", one of the band's better known songs. Metallica recorded a cover version of "Breadfan" in 1987.
The album cover was done by Roger Dean. The album veers more towards progressive rock than their previous two albums.
