Neuhausen is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen and municipality of Neuhausen am Rheinfall. The station is located at the junction of the Rheinfall line and the Eglisau to Neuhausen line, and is served by Zurich S-Bahn lines S9, S24 and S33, and by Schaffhausen S-Bahn line S22.[1][2][3][4]

Neuhausen station is one of three stations in Neuhausen, the other two being Neuhausen Bad and Neuhausen Rheinfall. Neuhausen Bad station lies about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) to the west, whilst Neuhausen Rheinfall station is 750 metres (2,460 ft) to the south-west.[1]

A train collision occurred on Thursday 10 January 2013, at 8:47 CET[5] on the Winterthur-Schaffhausen line, about 250 meters away from the station. Two trains, the S33 and the S11, collided head-on and derailed. Initial reports stated that 17 people had been injured. This figure was later changed to 26.[6] Nine had to be taken to hospital, but there were no serious injuries. Among the people hospitalised were the two drivers.
