Dr. Neoh Hui-min is the Deputy Director (Research, Innovation and Industry & Community Partnerships) of UKM Medical Molecular Biology Institute of National University of Malaysia taking up office on 1 December 2017.[1] Her niche area for research in microbiology and her research is focused on the multi-drug resistant Staphylococcus aureus, dengue, Chikungunya virus and Zika virus plus also microgravity science using Caenorhabditis elegans a model[2].

Biography

Neoh Hui-min went to school in Penang.

Education

Dr. Hui Min joined UKM Medical Molecular Biology Institute in 2010 having completed her PhD at the Juntendo University in Japan.

Research

Dr Neoh is interested in antimicrobial resistance and virulence of nosocomial pathogens, especially Staphylococcus aureus;  diagnosis and pathogenesis of sepsis, microbiota in colorectal cancer, seroepidemiology of dengue and chikungunya generally in the Malaysian population[3].

Administrative

In 15 February 2017, she was appointed as Deputy Director (Research, Innovation and Networking)[4], Universiti Putra Malaysia until her appointment as the Deputy Director (Research, Innovation and Networking) on 1 October 2017.
