Neal Brendel (born in Pittsburgh, 12 September 1954) is a former American rugby union player. Brendel played at the inaugural 1987 Rugby World Cup. He debuted for the Eagles against Australia in Sydney on July 9, 1983. He made his last appearance for USA against England at the 1987 World Cup in New Zealand. On April 2004, Brendel was inducted in the US Rugby Hall of Fame and won in 2017 the Craig Sweeney Award[3]. Brendel is the current USA Rugby chairman[4].
