Nasz Dziennik ("Our Daily") is a Polish-language daily newspaper published six times a week in Warsaw, Poland.

History and profile

Nasz Dziennik was established in 1998. The paper is published by Spes Ltd.[2]

The Nasz Dziennik official website states that the paper aims to examine questions relating to social, cultural, political, and religious matters; and to provide information "about which other media are silent" (2011), while promoting Christian values.[3] It is a conservative publication.[4]

Its editor-in-chief is Ewa Nowina Konopka, and one of its main sources of revenue is advertising at both local and national levels.[5] Nasz Dziennik is part of an independent Catholic media conglomerate founded by Fr Tadeusz Rydzyk,[6] director of the Lux Veritatis Foundation, which owns the Trwam TV channel and the Radio Maryja radio station.[7]

Nasz Dziennik's circulation was 129,500 in January-February 2001;[2] about 150,000 in 2007.[8] Alternate sources gave its 1999 circulation as 250,000;[9] and its 1998 readership as 600,000 (according to the newspaper Rzeczpospolita).[10]
