Narayan Seva Sansthan, established in 1985, is a charitable organisation based in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is known for providing philanthropic services in the field of treatment and rehabilitation of polio affected people without discrimination of religion, region, caste, or gender.[1]
History
Narayan Seva Sansthan was founded on 23 October 1985.[2] At present it runs 13 hospitals for polio patients, as well as an international hospital for treatment of disabled by birth, where disabled person all corner of the world are being treated for free. It also runs a home named 'Apna Ghar', where about 200 orphans, many deaf or disabled, reside. They take care of Apna Ghar children's education.[3]
Events
On June 15, 2014, it had organised a mass wedding event for disabled couples with polio. Held in the Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi, 92 couples were married, walking to the stage on crutches.[4]
Criticism
- On March 13, 2013- A donation of 8 lacs was stolen from an employee when he was bringing the secret donation amount from Mumbai to Udaipur.[5]
