Nanomyina is a genus of long-legged flies in the family Dolichopodidae. There is only one described species in Nanomyina, Nanomyina barbata.[2][3][4][5]

Nanomyina barbata (Aldrich 1902) is found on the east coast North and Central America. The name "barbata", meaning "bearded", refers to the bristles across the lower face of the fly.[3][2]

John Aldrich first described this species as Chrysotimus barbata in 1902.[4] It was later moved to the genus Nanomyina. In 1970, the species Nanomyina litorea Robinson, 1964[1] was determined to be a synonym of Chrysotimus barbata, leaving C. barbata as the only species in the genus.[2]
