Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital is a hospital in Vile Parle, Mumbai which was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru in November 1950 and opened in May 1951.

History

The foundation stone at Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital was laid by the Prime Minister Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru in November 1950, and the hospital opened its doors to its first patient in May 1951.

Infrastructure

As of 2014, Nanavati Hospital has 352 beds.[1]

It has a Cancer treatment facility which was launched with HCG in 2013.[2]

Heart Transplant Centre: Nanavati has started new heart transplant centre

Location

The Hospital is located on Swami Vivekanand Road, Vile Parle (West).
