Nanatsu Kaze no Shima Monogatari (Japanese: 七ツ風の島物語)[lower-alpha 1] is a 1997 video game for the Sega Saturn.[2] It is a 2D sidescrolling adventure game.

Story

The game stars a dragon named Gaapu, who must explore an island.[3][4]

Development

Developed by Givro, and it was the last game the company developed. [4]

Gameplay

The gameplay is largely free of violence, and instead focuses on puzzle solving.[5]

Release

It was released on November 27, 1997 for the Sega Saturn.[2][6] The game was released with a two-disks, one featuring artwork.[7] It was never released outside of Japan.[3] The Japanese Sega Saturn Magazine covered the game several times, including a review in issue 42,[8]and a five page guide in issue 43.[9]

Reception

Weekly Famitsu gave it a score of 29 out of 40.[10] Three reviewers for the Japanese Sega Saturn Magazine gave it a 9, 4, and a 6 score, for an average of 7.[8] Anthony John Agnello at Engagement compared as a mix of puzzle solving titles like King's Quest, and platforming games like Castlevania.[5] 1up.com called it one of the most gorgeous 2D games ever created.[4]
