Nakshatram (English: Star) is a 2017 Telugu action film which is written and directed by Krishna Vamsi. Jointly produced by K. Srinivasulu, S. Venugopal and Sajju, it features an ensemble cast of Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassandra, Tanish, Sai Dharam Tej, Pragya Jaiswal, Prakash Raj, and J. D. Chakravarthy.[3][4]

Principal photography commenced in April 2016.[5] It was released on 4 August 2017.

Plot

Rama Rao (Sundeep Kishan) is born in Police Family, his Great Grandfather, Grandfather & Father have served the Police Department. To carry forward the family legacy, He always wanted to be a Sub Inspector and strives hard to achieve the goal. He, however, wasn't able to qualify for the job for various reasons. That's when he decides to perform the duty of a cop even without wearing the Uniform. How his life changed completely because of this decision forms rest of the tale![6]
