Naked Attraction is a British dating game show in which a clothed person selects two contestants from six naked people, whose bodies and then faces are revealed in stages from the feet up.[2][3] The person deciding then appears nude to select one of them for a fully clothed date. The programme then presents their feedback after the date. It premiered on Channel 4 on 25 July 2016 and is presented by Anna Richardson.[4]

In November 2016, Naked Attraction was renewed for a second series,[5] which began airing on 29 June 2017. In February 2018, the show was renewed for a third series,[6][7] which began airing on 24 August 2018.

The show received a flood of complaints from viewers to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom due to the full frontal nudity that this show contains. However, Ofcom chose not to investigate as there was nothing that breached their rules and that the show was purely a dating show and does not contain sexual activity and was also shown after the watershed.[8]

Production

Each episode can take up to twelve hours to film, although the contestant choosing a date only has to disrobe for fifteen minutes. The resultant date takes place at 9am the next day. The picker has to have someone with him/her at all times to make sure they don’t accidentally bump into one of the contestants, and if one of the contestants needs a toilet break, they must be escorted by a member of staff out so the picker doesn’t see them leave their coloured booth.[9]
