Naima Ilyas al-Ayyubi

Naima Ilyas al-Ayyubi was the first female lawyer in Egypt.[1] In 1933 she became the first woman to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in the Faculty of Law at an Egyptian university (namely, Egyptian University).[2][1]

She was first in her class at the end of year exams in her first year at the Faculty of Law.[1] She graduated with honors.[1] After her graduation she went on to study for a Belgian doctorate.[3][1]
