Macedonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki, Finland. The Macedonian entry was selected through a national selection, Nacionalen Evrosong 2007, organised by the Macedonian broadcaster Macedonian Radio-Television (MRT). Karolina Gočeva represented Macedonia with the song "Mojot svet", which qualified from the competition's semi-final and placed 14th in the final, scoring 73 points.[1][2]

Skopje Fest 2007

In late 2006, MRT announced that Skopje Fest would return as the selection method for the 2007 Contest. A submission period was opened for songs to be submitted with the broadcaster selecting appropriate performers for the songs.[3] On 6 January 2007, MRT announced 12 finalists from 150 received submissions that would compete in a national final.[4] On 24 January 2007, MRT confirmed that after changes to the initial list of participants and the addition of wildcards, 15 songs would compete in the national final.[5]

Skopje Fest 2007 took place on 24 February 2007 at the Universal Hall in Skopje, hosted by Igor Džambazov, Milanka Rašić and Zivkica Gjurcinovska. 15 songs competed with the winner being selected by a regional televote from 12 districts across Macedonia. The show included interval acts from the "Rebis" Ballet, 2006 Macedonian entrant Elena Risteska, 2005 Croatian entrant Boris Novković and 2007 Belarusian entrant Dmitry Koldun. Karolina Gočeva with the song "Mojot svet" was the winner, receiving top marks (12 points) from all 12 voting districts.[1][6] Gočeva previously represented Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002.

Prior to the contest, Gočeva embarked on a promo tour to Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia.
