History
The club was founded as NKF United in 2009. The initials 'NKF' stand for National Kidney Federation, a charity endorsed by the club.[1]
NKF United began life in the Leicester & District League, and in 2011 they won promotion to the First Division. In 2013 they were renamed as NKF Burbage, and two years later they left the Leicester & District League for the Leicestershire Senior League.[2] In their first Senior League season they finished as Division One runners-up and moved into the Midland League. They won the Division Three title in 2017 and repeated the feat in Division Two a year later to win promotion to Step 6 for the first time.
