NGC 2266 is an open cluster[2] in the constellation Gemini, it is located about 11,100 light years from Earth. It is 5 arc minutes which its length is about 16.1 light years. Its age is about 631 million years old.[3][2]
It was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel on 7 December 1785. It contains about 50 to 100 stars.
