A theif jumps out of a window on the second storey of a building, breaking both legs, and makes their getaway in the backseat of a stolen car using a cane found inside the car to press down on the accelerator and brake.
Testing the idiom "knock me down with a feather"—that someone can be in such a confused state that something as small as a feather can knock them over.
