Murugan Ashwin (born 8 September 1990) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Tamil Nadu.[1] He made his List A debut on 11 December 2015 in the 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy.[2] He made his Twenty20 debut on 2 January 2016 in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.[3]

He was bought at the 2016 Indian Premier League auction by the Rising Pune Supergiants for 4.5 crores, which was 45 times the original base price of 10 lakhs.[4] In February 2017, he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils team for the 2017 Indian Premier League for 1 crore.[5]

In January 2018, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2018 IPL auction.[6]
