Murray Browne (born 20 January 1963) is a former Australian Rules Football player for Collingwood and Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League. His son Alex also played in the AFL for Essendon.
Browne played 53 games for Collingwood between 1981 and 1985, and Fitzroy in 1986. Playing mainly as a defender he kicked a total of 6 career goals.[2]
In 1984 he played in Collingwood's final series where they reached the preliminary final, losing to eventual premier Essendon.
After his playing career Browne held various roles in football including skills coach at Collingwood and opposition analyst at Port Adelaide. He also coached Marcellin Old Collegians in the VAFA to the 2008 premiership.
He is a former president of the Collingwood Past Players Association and former past player director of the AFL Players Association (AFLPA). Opp [3]
In working life Browne is a certified financial planner and owns the MBA Financial Group in Melbourne. He is also a justice of the peace.
