Municipal Valencia is a Honduran soccer club based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

They however played their home games in the Estadio Fausto Flores Lagos, Choluteca.[1]

History

Municipal Valencia were promoted to the Honduran national league in 20032004.[2] Their best league position was third place in the 2006 Clausaura. Before the beginning of the 2006-07 Apertura season Valencia sold its category to Hispano for three million lempiras due to financial problems requiring traveling to other cities for their matches. Most of the team's members became members of Hispano such as manager Edwin Pavón and many of the players including Luis Rodas, Kerpo de León, Gilberto Santos, "Tuché", Marco Mejía, Henry Jiménez, Johnny Galdámez, Gerson Amaral, Rigoberto Padilla and Roy Posas. They were relegated to the liga de ascenso de Honduras.
