Mundus Subterraneus (book)
Mundus subterraneus, quo universae denique naturae divitiae is a scientific textbook written by Athanasius Kircher, and published in 1665. The work depicts Earth's geography through textual description, as well as lavish illustrations.[1]

In popular culture
In Ubisoft's video game Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, the main character can roam around his or her company's offices. Situated among other Assassin's Creed video games on bookshelves are copies of Mundus Subterraneus.
