Mukundpur

Mukundpur is a village in Amarpatan tehsil, Satna District, Madhya Pradesh State, India. Its in Rewa Division, located 14 km south of the Rewa city by Nipaniya - Tamara road, 51 km to the east of the district capital, Satna, 32 km from Amarpatan. and 478 km from the state capital, Bhopal. The Mukundpur Pin Code is 486550. The Head Post Office is at Govindgarh.

The nearest villages are Tamara(1.5 km),Amiriti (3 km) Lalitpur (5 km), Govindgarh (6 km), Tala (7 km), Katalpur (7 km), Kemara (10 km). The surrounding tehsils are Rampur Baghelan tehsil to the west, Rampur Naikin tehsil to the east, Ramnagar tehsil to the south, and Raipur Karchuliyan tehsil to the east. The nearest cities are Rewa, Satna, Maihar, Sidhi, Shahdol, Anuppur and Singrauli. The local languages are Hindi and Bagheli..

The first white tiger of the world was spotted by Rewa Maharaja (King) Martand Singh in 1951, in this region only.[1]
