Mr. Thank You (有りがたうさん, Arigatō-san) is a 1936 Japanese drama film written and directed by Hiroshi Shimizu.[1][2] It is based on a short story by the Nobel Prize-winning novelist, Yasunari Kawabata.[3]

Plot

A driver, nicknamed Mr. Thank You, due to his gratitude whenever his bus is let to pass on the narrow road, drives the people on board from the rural city of Izu to the faraway city of Tokyo, with a various number of reasons for their desire to get to Tokyo.
