Mount Pisgah Christian School is a private Christian school located in Johns Creek, Georgia, United States. It is located on Nesbit Ferry Road off of Highway 19. The uniqueness of Mount Pisgah Christian is its Biblical foundation. The school's primary goals are to introduce Biblical truths and help their students in whole-person development.[1]

As of the end of the 2014 school year, Mount Pisgah Christian had more than 600 students. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS).[2]

History

Mount Pisgah Christian School came into being in 1986.[3] Initially, it served as an elementary and middle school. It wasn't until 2001 that Mount Pisgah Christian began offering a high school education.[4] Fourteen years later, Mount Pisgah made its last significant upgrade in its short history. That upgrade consisted of a new building, named Geier Hall.[5]

Academics

Mount Pisgah Christian School's main academic goal is to prepare students for college. The school tries to integrate Biblical teachings into every academic area. One of their greatest strengths is their AP program. They offer AP classes in Art, Biology, Chemistry, English, Government, History, Math, and Foreign Language.[7]

Fine arts

Mount Pisgah Christian School offers a wide variety of fine arts. They provide fine arts for the elementary, middle, and high school. Specifically, the high school offers art, chorus, yearbook, media production, and web design.[8]

Athletics

Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots participates in athletics at all levels, but for the high school, they compete in the Georgia High School Association, also known as the GHSA. Mount Pisgah Christian has been in the GHSA for over ten years. In all sports, their arch-rival is Fellowship Christian School. The GHSA has Fellowship Christian School in Class A, Region 6, Division A.[9] Mount Pisgah's football is their most historically dominant team. Mount Pisgah offers high school baseball, boys' and girls' basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, wrestling, golf, softball, boys' and girls' soccer, boys' and girls' tennis, track and field, volleyball and lacrosse.[10]
