Moshe Marom-Melnik (Hebrew: מֹשֶׁה מָרוֹם-מֶלְנִיק, born 1946) is a retired Israeli Air Force Brigadier General who in the course of his career shot down 9 enemy aircraft, making him one of Israel's flying aces. In 1979 he became the first pilot in history to shoot down an enemy plane with the F-15 Eagle.[1][2] He scored 5 aerial kills in the F-4 Phantom II during the Yom Kippur War and participated in Operation Opera, the 1981 raid that destroyed an Iraqi nuclear reactor.[2][3] He later scored additional 3 aerial kills with the F-15 Eagle in fighting over Lebanon
