Monica Sharma (born September 15, 1992) is an Indian model and television actress, who is notable for playing the parallel lead role of Gautami in television series Naagin 2. She played the Parallel Lead Role of Avni Piyush Bharadwaj in Sasural Simar Ka replacing Roshni (Nikki Sharma) as Piyush's Wife.

Early life

Monica was born in New Delhi. She got her education from Happy Model School, Janakpuri, New Delhi.

Career

In 2014, she entered Indian Princess beauty contest where she was titled Miss Grand India 2014 and was chosen to represent India at Miss Grand International held in Bangkok, Thailand, where she placed in the Top 20 at the Best National Costume competition of the contest.[1][2][3] Apart from her career, she is also working for her father's NGO ''Ek Lakshya Charitable Trust'' in New Delhi.

Monica portrayed the role of Chandralekha, one of the five sisters in the television show Dilli Wali Thakur Girls.[4][5][6][7][8][9] She has also appeared in some Punjabi music videos. In 2016, she started working in Ekta Kapoor's fantasy supernatural series Naagin 2, playing the positive role of Gautami.[10]

In 2018, she was seen in family series Sasural Simar Ka as Avni Piyush Bharadwaj, Simar's Daughter-In-Law. The show ended in March 2018.[11]
