The Special Guard of Honor Battalion of the named after Jamsrangijn Jondon also commonly known as the Mongolian State Honor Guard is an honor guard unit of the Armed Forces of Mongolia.

Brief History and Organization

Officially known as the Special Guard of Honor Battalion of the named after Jamsrangijn Jondon, the Mongolian State Honor Guard was founded on August 16, 1955, as an honor guard of the Mongolian People's Republic. The company of honor guard participates in all major events held by the government. Such as meetings and seeing off of heads of foreign state, government and military delegations during their official visits to Mongolia, as well as in a large number of other diverse events. In 2015, the guard of honor took part in 223 ceremonial events. Members of the battalion are required to have 180 cm (5 ft 11 in) and have good physical traits.[1][2][3]
