Moira Dela Torre (born November 4, 1993)[2] is a Filipina singer-songwriter. She is known for her songs "Malaya", "Titibo-tibo", and cover of Imago's "Sundo".[3]

Career

Dela Torre's career started as a voice artist working on corporate jingles and theme songs including McDonald’s "Hooray for Today", Lewis and Pearl’s French-language "You are Here", Surf’s "Pinalaki" and Johnson & Johnson's "Signature of Love".[4] She also joined The Voice of the Philippines (season 1) and was coached by Apl.De.Ap. She was eliminated in the battle round of the show.[5]

2013-2014: The Voice of the Philippines

Dela Torre joined the first season of The Voice of the Philippines in ABS-CBN. She impressed Coach apl.de.ap with her rendition of the song "Hallelujah" of Bamboo Mañalac, and became part of Team Apl. She advanced to the battle rounds of the competition where she was picked to sing "One Night Only" together with Cara Manglapus and Penelope Matanguihan. She was eliminated as Penelope Matanguihan won the battle round.[6]

2014: First single and debut EP

She released her first single in 2014 titled "Love Me Instead" and then released her debut EP titled "Moira".

2016-present: Breakout

Moira Dela Torre sang the official soundtrack of the movie Camp Sawi, a Filipino comedy-drama film starring Andi Eigenmann, Bela Padilla, Yassi Pressman, Kim Molina, Sam Milby and Arci Muñoz. She also sang the official soundtrack of Love You to the Stars and Back, a film starring Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia.

On October 2017, Moira performed in the finals of Himig Handog 2017, a songwriting and music video competition. She interpreted "Titibo-tibo," an original song written by Libertine Amistoso which was chosen as one of the finalists out of thousand of entries submitted. The song was chosen as the Grand Winner.[7] Later in October, she became a member of the acoustic group ASAP Jambayan.

In January 2018, Dela Torre won Wishclusive Contemporary Folk Performance of the Year, Wishclusive Viral Videos of the Year, and Wishclusive Elite Circle—Bronze Award in the 3rd Wish 107.5 FM Music Awards.[8]

In February 2018 Moira staged her first concert, which sold out in just 4 days on its first night, the concert is titled "Tagpuan", and was directed by comedian-actor John Prats. Due to public demand, the concert had a second night.
