Mohiaddin Alwaye

Muhiaddin Alwaye (June 1, 1925 – July 23, 1996) was a noted Arabic and Islamic scholar, author, an educationist and a researcher from Kerala, India. He is regarded as one of the most familiar Islamic scholar from kerala to Arab world after Zainuddin Makhdoom. He was a faculty at Al-Azhar University. He served as an Arabic announcer in All India Radio, Delhi station in the late 1950s. Mohiaddin authored number of books in Arabic, English and Malayalam. He translated famous Malayalam novel Chemmeen, written by Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai, into Arabic by the name Shemmeen.[1]
