Mohamed Omar (in Arabic: محمد عمر) is an Egyptian digital media consultant. He works as Consultant for Content Partnerships at Twitter MENA since April 2016[1][2][3] after serving as Digital and Entertainment Managing Editor at FilFan.com,[4] the leading Arabic-language entertainment news portal in the Arab region Category, for three years.[5][6][7][8]

Biography

Mohamed Omar was born in Cairo[9] and graduated from the faculty of Arts, Cairo University, History Department in 2012.

Career

Mohamed Omar started his journalism career at the early age of 16 in 2008, at Washwasha, An Egyptian entertainment tabloid, where he interviewed major Arab stars such as; Tamer Hosny, Mohamed Hamaki, Angham, Samira Said, Rami Ayach, Samo Zaen, Myriam Fares, Amr Adib, Mohamed Aboutrika, and many others.

Before joining FilFan.com, Omar worked as a reporter for several household names in the Arab media industry; including Ara and Laha Magazine as well as at The Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) for the TV show Shawshara -the Egyptian version of The Insider.

When he turned 21, Omar took the editor-in-chief position at FilFan.com in April 2013. Recently, he started working with Twitter at the age of 24.
