Mitchell Technical Institute (commonly referred to as MTI) is a technical school in Mitchell, South Dakota, United States.[3] Its Regional Technical Education Center is located in Yankton, South Dakota.[1]

MTI was founded in 1968.[3] In 2014, MTI was named one of the nation's top 150 community colleges.[4] It offers 25 associate degree programs and 15 certificate programs.[1] Since 1980,[1] MTI has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.[5]

In October 2014, the school received a $1 million donation, the largest sum ever granted to any technical school in South Dakota.[6]
