The Minister of Indigenous Services is one of two Ministers of the Crown in the Canadian Cabinet responsible for overseeing the federal government department Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. The position was created on August 28, 2017 during the 29th Canadian Ministry to take over the management of health, clean water, and other services to reserves and other First Nations communities from the former Indigenous and Northern Affairs portfolio.[1]
