History

Team history

Mineski is an organization driven by the pursuit to uplift the professional gaming scene in the Philippines.[3] Team Mineski is a professional gaming team founded on February 14, 2004[3] by a group of gamers and close friends in Manila, Philippines. They took the risk and hard work to make Philippine's electronic sport teams recognized and appreciated internationally. As passionate gamers, team Mineski also aims to be seen as an icon and role model for aspiring amateur gamers in the Philippines, despite its players don't really want to play professionally, playing "just for fun" by competing both local and international Dota and Dota 2 games.

Considered to have one of the strongest DotA teams, Mineski was also invited by Valve to compete with the top 15 DotA teams for the first The International (Dota 2) during 2011.[4][5]

Mineski is not only limited to the Philippine gaming community. They expanded by creating a Korean DotA line up in 2012. The Korean team is no longer active.[6]

Mineski qualified for Frankfurt Major 2015 by winning the Southeast Asia qualifier tournament.[7]

Mineski won the Philippine Qualifier for the ESL One Manila.[8]

Mineski also won the SEA Qualifier for the Manila Majors.

As of August 26, 2018, after The International 2018, Mineski was rumored to disband.
