Mineola, Missouri

Mineola is an unincorporated community in western Montgomery County, Missouri, United States.[1] The community is located approximately six miles south of Montgomery City on Missouri Supplemental Route J and is about one mile from Interstate 70.

Mineola was platted in 1879.[2] A post office called Mineola was established in 1881, and remained in operation until 1967.[3] Mineola is a name derived from an unidentified Native American language meaning "healing water".[2]

Graham Cave and Mount Horeb Baptist Church are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[4]
