An immediate success upon release, Mina Celentano became the best-selling album of the year in Italy (over 1.600.000 copies sold). The album has sold over 2,000,000 copies and it is one of the best-selling albums in Italy of all time.[1]

The first two tracks are the most famous, and became singles : Acqua e sale and Brivido felino. Mina later also recorded versions in Spanish of these 2 songs (each with different male singers: Miguel Bosé and Diego Torres).

The videoclip for Che t'aggia di' (sung in dialect) was a unique animated short movie.

Trivia

A special edition of the album, titled Mina Celentano - Buon Natale, was released during the Christmas season packed with a CD-ROM titled "Molly e destino solitario" and new artwork.

18 years later, in 2016, Mina and Celentano released a second collaboration of new work together with the album Le Migliori (meaning "(we are) the best ones", from a quote by Celentano speaking of their collaboration). Also this release became the best-selling album of the year in Italy.
