Milton Independent
The Milton Independent is a free weekly newspaper that is a part of the Champlain Valley Newspaper Group.[1][2] It covers news in the town of Milton in Chittenden County, Vermont.[3] The Milton Independent was founded in 1993 by Lynn Delaney after she left a paper, titled Milton Matters, that was funded by the town of Milton.[4] In December 1992, Delaney and 16 other volunteers resigned when Milton town leadership expressed a desire to review articles before they were published.[4]
