History

It was founded originally as a military lyceum (high school) by order of the Moldovan government on July 29, 1992. It was reorganized into a 4-year college on September 1, 1992. A little over a year later, the Combat Flag of Moldova and the first military oath were given to the college. It produced graduates in June 1995 and was upgraded in 2002 to a military institute on the academy's 10th anniversary. It was given it's current name 8 years later.[4]
