The Middlesboro Daily News is an American newspaper in Middlesboro, Kentucky and the newspaper's corresponding website. It circulates throughout Bell County, Kentucky.[2] The newspaper is published five times a week, Tuesday through Saturday, except on major holidays.[3][1]

History and description

The Middlesboro Daily News was first printed in 1911.[3] It changed its name to Daily News in 1981.[4]

The newspaper was previously owned by Pinnacle News Co. and Heartland Publications[4]In 2012 Versa Capital Management merged Heartland, Ohio Community Media, former Freedom papers it had acquired, and Impressions Media into a new company, Civitas Media.[5] Civitas Media sold the Daily News and the Harlan Daily Enterprise to Boone Newspapers in 2017.[6]

According to the Kentucky Press Association, The Middlesboro Daily News has a circulation of approximately 4,000.[1]
