Michelle Nogueras (born 5 December 1988) is a Puerto Rican female volleyball player. She was part of the Puerto Rico women's national volleyball team at the 2010 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Japan.[1]

Career

Michelle Nogueras's career began at the youth level at Criollas de Caguas. She was a Puerto Rican youth selection, which ranked second in the 2004 North American Pre-junior Championships and third in the 2006 North American Junior Championships. From 2006 to 2009, she played for Saint Leo University.

In the 2010 season, she started his professional career in the Puerto Rican League, returning to the Criollas de Caguas. While initially playing the role of a backline player, she played a good part of the season as a blocker due to a hand fracture of Glorimar Ortega. During the summer of 2010, she debuted on the national team, participating at the world championship. In the 2011 season, though returning to play the reserve role in the club, she won for the first time Liga Superior. During the summer she returned to the national team and was summoned for the 16th Pan American Games and for the North American Championship, ranking fourth in both competitions.

In the 2012 season, she was promoted to the club, also thanks to Ortega's maternity ; the Criollas de Caguas win the regular season and qualify without problems for the championship final, but they were defeated by Lancheras de Cataño. Despite that, she was awarded as the best rising star of the championship. In the 2013 season, she played for Pinkin de Corozal; in the middle of the season, however, she returns to play with Criollas de Caguas.

In the 2013–14 season, she played for the first time in a European professional league, hired by the Évreux Volleyball in the French Ligue A. However, in December, she left the team, going to play with Russian VC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk. In the following season she played in the Swiss National League with Volleyball Köniz. In the 2016 season he returned to Puerto Rico to play for the Gigantes de Carolina.
