Michael P. McAuliffe (born December 7, 1963) is a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 20th district in northwestern Chicago. He has served since 1997, when he was elected following the death of his father, Roger McAuliffe; between them, the McAuliffes have represented northwestern Chicago for 45 years.
He is the only Republican to represent a significant portion of Chicago in the Illinois General Assembly, and indeed the only elected Republican to represent a significant portion of Chicago at either the state or federal level.
