Michael J. Callahan

Michael J. Callahan is the former general counsel, executive vice president and corporate secretary at Yahoo!. He joined Yahoo! in December 1999 as corporate and securities lawyer, and served as Yahoo!'s top lawyer from 2003 to 2012. In this capacity, he played a role on a number of strategic and corporate governance issues, such as the hostile takeover battle with Microsoft, served as a key adviser to Yahoo!'s CEOs over the years, and was involved in patent settlement negotiations with Facebook. In 2014, Callahan was named the general counsel of LinkedIn.[3]

Education

Callahan graduated from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service with a degree in international affairs and Arab studies in the late '80s. In 1995 he graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]
