Meshary Al-Arada (Arabic: مشاري العرادة) (August 17, 1982 – January 7, 2018) was an Islamic singer and composer from Kuwait.[1]

Early life

Al-Arada was born on 1982 in Yarmuk, Kuwait. He attended Al-Asma'i secondary School in Qurtuba, Kuwait. He then attended the faculty of arts in Kuwait University. He also worked in the Ministry of Education in Kuwait and then moved to work in the private sector and then moved to the media work in the field of charitable and voluntary to several bodies and civil and governmental institutions, the most recent of which is The Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation.

Career

He started singing in childhood and was the first album in which he participated in 1995, then continued to participate in festivals in Kuwait and recording a set of single recordings, to participate in the first album in 1999 entitled The "innovators" with a group of singers, and then continued to participate in various festivals in Kuwait and abroad, such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Indonesia and Australia.[2]

Awards

Al-Arada has received many awards and honors, including a tribute from the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his extraordinary contributions to national concerts and music, and a tribute from the Sharjah Radio and Television Corporation for his active participation.

Death

He died on January 7, 2018 in a car accident in Saudi Arabia.
