Meilan (simplified Chinese: 美兰区; traditional Chinese: 美蘭區; pinyin: Měilán Qū) is an urban district of Haikou, the capital of Hainan province, China. The district's total area is 553 km2 (214 sq mi), and its population was about 620,000 people in 2010 according to Sixth National Population Census of the People's Republic of China.
Administrative regions
Meilan district has jurisdiction over Haifu Road, Boai Road, Haidian Road, Renminlu Road, Bailong Road, Hepingnan Road, and Baisha Road. It also contains the small towns of Xinbu, Lingshan, Yanfeng, Shanjiang, and Dazhipo.
