Medica

Medica Reporting Limited is a teleradiology provider based in Hastings.

Not to be confused with Medicago, a genus of flowering plants, or the Medica Group of hospitals based in West Bengal.

The firm has an annual turnover of £28.5m. It was floated on the London stock exchange in 2017.[1] It provides outsourced interpretation and reporting of MRI scans, CT scans and x-ray images to hospital radiology departments. The technology allows hospitals to transmit diagnostic images to a remote radiologist, based from either their own home or one of Medica's dedicated reporting centres so that the service is always available. It raised £121 million at the stock market launch, giving it a market capitalisation of £150 million. It declared an operating profit of just over £6 million in the nine months ended 30 September 2016.[2]
