Maya the Bee is a computer-animated comedy television series produced by Studio 100 Animation in association with ZDF and TF1.[1] It is based on the character Maya the Bee introduced in 1912. This is the second animated adaptation focused on the character, after the anime Maya the Honey Bee that aired in the 1970s.

Controversy
In September 2017, Parents had spotted a phallic image in the series' thirty-fifth episode. After the clip went viral on Facebook, Netflix has taken the episode off the website temporarily. The episode subsequently returned with the offending image edited out.[5]
