Maxime Rémillard

Maxime Rémillard is a Canadian businessman born on January 17, 1975 in Greenfield Park, Quebec. He currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Remstar Group, an investment company he co-founded with his brother Julien in 1997, involved notably in film production and distribution. Rémillard is also the founder and president of Groupe V Media, a Canadian broadcasting company launched in 2009.

Films

Remstar made a name for itself undertaking the distribution of a wide range of quality films across the country. Solidly established on the Canadian and international film scene, Remstar ensured the distribution of numerous films including Dallas Buyers Club directed by Jean-Marc Vallée and winner of three Academy Awards; Denis Villeneuve’s Polytechnique, winner of nine Genie Awards including Best Film and presented at the Directors’ Fortnight of the Cannes Films Festival; The Wrestler directed by Darren Aronofsky and Heartbeats from writer-director Xavier Dolan, official selection Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival.

Remstar has recently produced Ideal Home, directed by Andrew Fleming, starring Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan and also Replicas, directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, starring Keanu Reeves.

Television

V Media is a Canadian broadcasting group with many years of experience in the entertainment business. Awards

Maxime Rémillard won the Génie Award for Best Canadian Film with Polytechnique.[1] Films that he produced or distributed have also won various Jutra, Génie, Cesar and Academy Awards, as well as prizes at various festivals.

Philanthropy

Maxime Rémillard and his family are involved as donators in numerous charitable organizations such as Centraide, Fondation Mira and the Montreal Pointe-à-Caillières Museum of Archeology. The Remillard family also founded The Yosh Taguchi Chair in Urology for McGill University.
